Social Emotional Learning

Hester Junior High School implements our own ROAR program for Social-Emotional Learning. Students participate in homeroom activities that build social emotional skills on many Thursdays throughout the school year. Additionally, all students are provided with SEL instruction through one trimester of Health class each year.  Hester also is fortunate to have two student advocates through the Tapestry program, coordinated by West 40. These advocates provide counseling and support to students as the need presents itself.
Hester has also formed a partnership to provide counseling by an outside agency to our students, right here at Hester during the school day.
